INTRODUCTION:
Beavers
have an important part of history in Utah as well as in the United States.
Their presence in a habitat is vital to the survival of other animals
and plants. In the recent past, City Creek Canyon and watershed has been
the home of a number of beaver. Most lived on the upper part of the canyon,
where shallow ponds created willow dominated communities. Five years ago
beavers cut trees down along the existing lower nature trail. In this
web page you will learn about the description,
lifestyle, and history
of beavers.
